K ate is a free-lance Garden Writer, Speaker, and Educator. Presently she writes a monthly web content for the Burpee Corporation and various columns and gardening sites.

She is the author of several Gardening book, “The Downside Veggie Garden.” “Little Helpers: Get Kids Growing Veggies.”, “The Right Size Vegetable Garden” and “Month-Month Gardens; in New York and New Jersy.”

Kate remains an Active Master Gardener in Georgia, the Herb Society of America, and The Southern Garden History Association. She is also a member of the Garden Writers Association. Currently, Kate volunteers as the Regional Director of the Garden Writers Association. She was also a Master Gardener in Virginia and Advanced Master Gardener in Indiana. Kate has also taught the Master Gardener class on Propagation for four years.

In addition to giving lectures across the northern Atlantic and Midwest states, primarily on growing herbs, knot gardens, and garden history. She hosts a weekly radio show based out of Atlanta, Georgia. Kate hosted a TV show, America’s Homegrown Veggie Show about growing vegetables for five years.
