~ Getting the youth involved in growing their food ~

A After graduating from Texas A & M with a bachelor and master’s degree in Horticulture and Education/Curriculum Development, she became an employee of Texas AgriLife Extention Services. She currently serves as the Extention Specialist and International Program Coordinator Junior Master Gardener Program. The Junior Master Gardener Program operates in all 50 states and has expanded to Internationally.

Lisa is the author/co-author of nine award-winning books about youth environmental curriculums. Her expert horticulture works have been featured in over 150 newspaper and magazines including Southern Living, Better Homes and Garden, Cosmopolitan, Readers Digest and seven children’s magazines. Her TV appearances include HGTV. Her youth research projects include child obesity. She received a National Excellence in ExtentionAward for the Southern Region through the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities. She is active in staff development and management. Lisa also serves as a guest lecturer for floral designs and socio-horticulture classes at Texas A & M University.
